Thankful Thursday! ☕🐸
Gratitude isn’t just something we talk about at GEICO Spokane. It’s something we love putting into action!
This week, I purchased gift cards from our local Dutch Bros to surprise a few of our valued clients with a little caffeine and a whole lot of appreciation!
But there’s a bigger story behind that cup of coffee.
Local Dutch Bros owner Kevin Parker is an incredible leader and community member. Following the devastating Spokane fires in August, the Dutch Bros organization stepped up with a generous financial contribution to help families who lost their homes and others impacted by the fires.
That’s what community looks like. Businesses supporting families. Neighbors helping neighbors. And local leaders making a difference.
As a fellow local business owner, I believe we have a responsibility to support businesses that do more than just serve customers. They serve their communities.
So this Thankful Thursday, we’re celebrating our amazing clients, Kevin Parker, and the Dutch Bros team!
Because when we support businesses that give back, everybody wins.

37,000 pairs of shoes. 👟

That’s how many FREE pairs of shoes One Heart Spokane has given to kids in need—helping them walk back into school with confidence and dignity.

Today, GEICO Spokane: Dan Cantillana Insurance Agency had the privilege of hosting a golf tournament to raise funds for One Heart Spokane.

But One Heart is about so much more than shoes.

Our drop-in center serves kids in one of Washington’s most underserved ZIP codes. Every week, around 50 kids walk through the doors and find:

A warm meal.
A safe place.
People who know their name.
A place where they know they matter.

I’m incredibly proud to serve on the Board of One Heart Spokane—and we’re just getting started.

More great things are coming, Spokane.

Together, we can love well and do good.

“Does it cost more to insure a red car?”

The answer is no! 🎉

One of the most common insurance misconceptions is that driving a red vehicle means you’ll pay more. Thankfully, your cherry-red ride isn’t going to make your insurance premium jump. 😂

When determining your auto insurance rate, factors like the year, make, and model of your vehicle are considered—not whether your car is red, blue, black, or somewhere in between.

Everyone’s insurance rate can be different for a variety of reasons, but your choice to go with cherry red isn’t one of them.

Most standard homeowners insurance policies don’t cover flooding caused by rising water from outside the home. Coverage often depends on how the water entered the home and the coverages included in your policy.

Don’t assume you’re covered. Take a few minutes to review your policy and make sure you understand your protection before you need it.
