Most standard homeowners insurance policies don’t cover flooding caused by rising water from outside the home. Coverage often depends on how the water entered the home and the coverages included in your policy.

Don’t assume you’re covered. Take a few minutes to review your policy and make sure you understand your protection before you need it.
