Members can apply to receive $200 in seed money to coordinate a small-scale volunteer project with family and friends. Modern Woodmen will award a limited number of grants per year on a first-come, first-served basis.

Every four years, Modern Woodmen members across the country elect delegates to gather for a National Convention. This representative form of government is part of what makes us unique as a fraternal financial services organization.

Our 45th National Convention will take place this month in Orlando, Florida.

Have you changed jobs in the past? Are you still employed but older than 59.5 years old?

These are some life event times where you may be able to take better control and explore options with your retirement monies. For many investors, their largest account values are inside of some level of work sponsored plan. Those vehicles provide some value for accumulation from contributions, employer matches, and the ease of coming directly off your pay check.

The problem with work sponsored plans is they are not designed to be your income tools when you actually need the money. It is good to have a few different buckets for the different uses of your money and whether you have changed jobs or are older than 59.5, it can be a time to create those income buckets when penalties are usually not a factor.
