Our community has been incredibly generous, but there is still a special need for boxed cereal to help support local veterans.
If you’re able, please consider picking up an extra box or two on your next grocery trip and dropping them off at Halfmoon Town Hall, 2 Halfmoon Town Plaza.

Free non-perishable food bags are available while supplies last thanks to the generosity of Market 32 in Wilton and their Freedom from Hunger Campaign.
If you or a veteran you know could use a little extra support, stop by to pick up a bag—or grab one for a neighbor or fellow veteran.

The Herkimer County Office for the Aging is offering FREE Tai Chi classes for beginners starting June 8th in Ilion.
These classes focus on arthritis support and fall prevention while helping participants build strength, flexibility, and confidence. ♥️

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Saratoga County is looking for volunteers to deliver weekday meals to homebound seniors in the greater Greenfield area. Volunteers can sign up for a flexible schedule, from once a week to five days a week. The program helps seniors age 60 and older stay independent at home by providing a nutritious ready-to-eat lunch each weekday.

This service helps with trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, doctor’s appointments, and other essential errands—making it easier to stay independent and connected. 🛍️ 🥛 👨‍⚕️

Shuttle service is available on a rotating schedule from several local towns to the Queensbury/Glens Falls area.

Winter is here with a vengeance! If you are a senior or veteran, why drive if you don't have to?

Warren County's FREE Senior/Veteran Transportation Program helps groups of seniors and vets from 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 with transportation from their homes to Queensbury for groceries and errands. It's been a well-received program for those who either don't drive, or can't drive.

The van service is for those 60 and over and veterans of any age, and is operating in the towns of Warrensburg, Bolton, Chester, Horicon, Johnsburg, Thurman, Stony Creek and Hague. (Senior residents in southern Warren County communities currently have access to municipally or privately operated transportation service.)

Service in each community is offered twice a month, as outlined below:

🚌 Bolton/Hague – 1st and 3rd Tuesday
🚌 Chestertown/Brant Lake/Horicon – 2nd & 4th Tuesday
🚌 Warrensburg/Johnsburg – 1st & 3rd Thursday
🚌 Thurman/Stony Creek – 2nd & 4th Thursday
