This woman is a breath of fresh air. I'm not sure of the words to describe what I felt - maybe kinship, connection and kindness? Elisa is one of those artists who completely released any sort of control when I arrived - she was truly open to letting my vision come to life, all while still meeting her photographic objectives. That level of trust, coupled with her enthusiasm, depth and creativity, makes for an effortless collaboration. Very few right angles in her studio added an additional layer of art to the space, which felt so right based on how she incorporates nature into her art. Her work with egg shells of all kinds has been inspiring to see evolve from when I met her back around 2010. This kintsugi art, "beauty in the broken" philosophy is not only incredibly elegant, but I believe healing on many levels.

Thank you, Elisa for trusting me with your art! 🩷

When I was asked to photograph Buggy Jive for Capital Region Living Magazine back in June of 2025, I was intrigued to see this basement studio, the Buggy Bunker, that I had seen so much of on social media. It was an adventure to photograph and definitely lived up to its hype. Buggy surrounded himself with intentional inspiration from Prince to Joni Mitchell and so much more - with a story to share about each piece I asked about. While there was lots of laughter, I also wanted to capture his depth with a quiet portrait in his living room - although I'm pretty sure there was quite a fair amount of laughter during that as well! 😂

Buggy has been nominated for many Eddies Awards this year including Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Solo or Duo Artist of the Year!  Congratulations Buggy!

I don't know who else may feel this way but I've been feeling the overwhelm of what's around me lately -  expectations, judgements, even rudeness. It feels like it comes at me from others, and I'm left to figure it out. So I'm taking a pause - to take in the simplicity and beauty of what exists around me at all times. A reminder to myself that I create my world by choosing what I allow in. Today, on Earth Day, I'm sharing a very common flower I found in my yard - the Buff Daisy - nothing overly impressive, some say. And a rock.

Reminds me of part of one of my favorite Mary Oliver poems, Wild Geese.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Happy Earth Day 🌍🌎

Ballet Hispanico at The Egg, Albany, New York; March 2026

I began dancing at 3 years old and took formal lessons through college. This experience of beauty, emotion, lines, shapes, precision, and obsessive attention to detail - both on an internal, emotional level as well as an external, visual excellent level -  have informed my photography at its very roots.

Thank you to The Egg for the opportunity to photograph the leading Hispanic/Latin dance company in the nation! It is truly special when a job lines up perfectly with one's foundational values.

Cover story photography for Spring Issue 2026.

As a local myself, it was extra special to photograph Old Tavern Farm and learn about all the ways in which they are preserving old structures in Saratoga County as well as dedicating their time to creating truly local products. I appreciate their "no short cuts" approach when it comes to building something that takes time. The magazine is out in stores now!
Thank you -  I'm always so grateful to work with you! 🩷

I rarely post photos taken from my cell phone. But yesterday's snowshoe adventure was too good to not share. I kept seeing all these shapes laying along the trail and once I started to see them, I couldn't not see them. I think this is what they mean when they say to find delight in what already exists in nature? I think so. And once you see it, you'll never walk along in the same way again.

I love the simplicity of my flower work. When all the parts line up - nature's timing of the petals, the sunshine to cloud ratio outside, the time of day, the availability in my schedule - when it all lines up to allow for hours of play. The light changes at every moment and that allows me to see new shadows and depths.
I planted this bulb some time in December and have been watching it ever since for when the moment seems just right for me. Thanks to for the bulb 🩷
