The Regence sales team volunteered at Granite Education Foundation's annual 9/11 Day of Service event, sponsored by Cambia Health Foundation. Regence volunteers packed 841 weekend food kits, designed to provide students with items to take home for a night or the weekend. Each package contains enough food for four meals and snacks. Granite distributes about 5,000 kits every three weeks to students who may be impacted by food insecurity.

1 in 8 Utahns, including 1 in 6 children, face food insecurity — and meanwhile, over 600,000 tons of food go to waste every year across the state. Waste Less Solutions is changing that through education, prevention and food diversion to reduce food waste and get people the nutrition they need to live well.

Regence employees in Salt Lake City recently rolled up their sleeves to support the cause — preparing meals from donated food that were distributed directly to local nonprofits serving people in need. Access to healthy food isn't just about hunger—it supports long-term health and peace of mind. We’re proud of our employees for donating their time to this important cause!

We’ve seen rising numbers of measles outbreaks in 2026, partly because of declining immunity and decreasing vaccination rates.

Measles vaccines remain 100% covered under routine care benefits for Regence members through 2027. Talk to your doctor to see if the measles vaccine is right for you.

The American Red Cross recently declared a national blood supply crisis after blood donations fell to a four-year low this summer. According to the American Red Cross, this created a national shortage for only the second time in history. As a result, surgeries, trauma care, and other treatments that require blood transfusions may be delayed.

Regence executive medical director, Mike Woodruff, sat down with FOX 13 News to discuss the impact on Utahns needing lifesaving treatments, as well as how to find a blood donation center near you.

A national blood supply crisis has been declared for only the second time in history. Here is what it means for Utah patients and how you can help.

Just going to the pharmacy was difficult.

Regence member Sherry M. manages psoriatic arthritis, diabetes, asthma and a weakened immune system. She takes 10-12 medications at a time.

That meant twice-weekly pharmacy trips, often while feeling unwell. Risking her health from additional exposure.

Then she connected with Cody, a Regence nurse care manager. Cody helped Sherry:
• Switch to mail-order prescriptions delivered to her door
• Re-enroll in a co-pay assistance program she didn't know had expired
• Find in-network specialists and resolve billing errors

Now Sherry and her husband are planning their first airline trip since 2019 to celebrate their anniversary.

Sherry calls Cody the “Regence answer man.” She adds, "He's the person in my corner.”

Dr. Mike Franz, executive medical director for behavioral health at Regence, tells Becker’s that behavioral health costs are growing even faster than other areas of healthcare. “The challenge is not to reduce behavioral health investment across the board,” he says. “The challenge is to distinguish high-value behavioral healthcare from low-value or wasteful utilization and ensure that every dollar spent improves clinical outcomes and reduces total cost of care.”
