What can happen when a community comes together to support a young professional?
This summer, Northpoint had the opportunity to help coordinate a six-week career exploration experience for local college student Joaquin Hernandez, who is interested in business and professional services.
Tullio led the effort, reaching out to friends, clients, and other professionals throughout the region to see if they would be willing to share their knowledge and provide Joaquin with real-world exposure to their industries. The response was immediate.
In addition to spending time with our team learning about insurance, Joaquin connected with professionals in banking, financial planning, accounting, real estate, law, mortgages, employee benefits, and other fields. These individuals generously opened their doors, answered questions, shared their expertise, and provided valuable insight into their professions. Along the way, he also attended networking events, community gatherings, and educational programs that offered an even broader perspective on the business community.
What stood out most wasn't just the experience itself—it was the willingness of so many people to invest their time, knowledge, and encouragement in someone just beginning their professional journey.
