Last weekend’s benefit at Arden Park for Weave went great thanks to these amazing volunteers! The community came out in full force. By the time we finished, we were able to donate 90+ contractor bags of quality, gently used clothes. When we arrived at the Weave store that afternoon, they had 6 volunteers ready to meet us. They were super-stoked that we already had dispensed with over-used clothing (which I’m happy to report we didn’t have a lot of) 👌 Especially grateful for the Anderson Family for coming out and volunteering. Grateful for Jim Simas for lending us his truck for the event. Grateful for Arden Park Rec for Co-Sponsoring this event with me and providing the venue. Shout out to Teal Moore who donated a bunch of clothing and helped us sort for the home stretch of the event!

We’ve all heard the adage there being two certainties in life - death & taxes. Well I’ll proffer a third - hurdles in real estate transactions. This review is from an investor client and we ran through a buzz-saw of problems selling their duplex. The first being an out of town appraiser who scuttled a multiple offer H&B sale price in a heating up market. The second being an unscrupulous buyer agent who came in “as-is” then tried to chisel down what was already a solid deal for their buyer. We told them to pound sand. We dusted ourselves off and then got into contract for a third time. This buyer was a charm. Got a good price and the transaction closed with mutual satisfaction. Whether minor or major, expect situations, issues and concerns to pop up over the course of every transaction. I pride myself on maintaining a calm demeanor with clients as we address whatever the hurdle(s) might be. It’s important to know when to hold on tightly or let go lightly.
