My husband and I grew up just like many first- and second- generation immigrants.

Many first- and second-generation immigrants were taught:

Do well in school. Get a good job. Work hard.

Then we discovered small business and entrepreneurship—and our perspective changed 180°. We learned there are different paths to success, wealth, and creating a legacy.

Small businesses make up 99.9% of all U.S. businesses. When we support small businesses, we support the heart of our economy and our communities.

I choose to be a leader who is willing to help shift our community from financial scarcity to financial abundance.

It makes me sad growing up in a scarcity community and still continuing to see our communities get fooled, scammed, misuse tools and pay too much for services that doesn’t solve their problems.

It truly starts with trust, education, honest conversations about money, and empowering one another to make informed financial decisions.

A 12- years old child asked me at one of my seminars “What does a financial advisor actually do everyday?”

Simply, I just said to her “I help people understand their money so they can make smart choices with it. It’s more than just talking about money.”

A typical day can include:
👉 Educating clients about financial concepts and strategies
🤝 Meeting with families to understand their goals
👌Reviewing small business financial plans and helping clients stay on track
👉 Exploring options for saving, investing, and protecting their future
🫶 Teaching financial literacy to kids and families
👏 Continuing to learn so I can better serve my clients

Thank you to my partnerships with Hmong Early Education Coalition for ages 4-8 years old and ML Team- KW for ages 9-13 and 14-19. We reached 35+ families! 👏

With a decade of experience as a cancer care and ICU registered nurse — including recent years serving on the front lines in the intensive care unit during COVID-19 — I supported families through difficult decisions and provided culturally sensitive, patient-centered care to our diverse Twin Cities community.

These experiences shaped my lifelong commitment to serving others and ignited my passion for helping people build brighter, more secure futures. ✨
