It is with profound sadness that we have learned longtime employee Irene Hasley passed away on Saturday, June 6th. Irene retired in 2013 after 3 decades with GECU. For many members, she was more than just an employee and loan officer – she was a friend, counselor, and beloved “second grandmother” – those who knew her will remember her wall of kids photos she kept proudly in her office. Irene loved her members and loved her job, and we are forever grateful for her years of dedicated service to the credit union. Visitation is from 4-7 pm at Rafferty Funeral Home in Moline.

Today’s spotlights our Vice President, Brian Beverlin (AKA Brian #1 or B1). Brian joined the Credit Union in 2012 as a Mortgage and Consumer Loan Officer, was promoted to Vice President of Lending, and then to Vice President. He will be celebrating 14 years with GECU this October! 🎉🎉🎉

When he is not at the Credit Union, he enjoys collecting bourbon and whiskey, golfing, and sitting on the beach at the Gulf Shores. Per credit union employment requirements, he is also a Chicago Cubs & Bears fan. Thanks for all you do, Brian!
