Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Elder financial abuse can impact financial security, fracture families, and lead to a loss of trust. And it's more common than most people realize.

Warning signs include abrupt changes in a will, the sudden appearance of previously uninvolved relatives, or unusual account activity.

As a financial advisor, I strive to assist in safeguarding the people I work with – and the ones they love. If something feels off, it's always worth a conversation.

Happy Flag Day!

What the American flag represents goes beyond politics or headlines. It represents resilience, sacrifice, and the belief that tomorrow can be better than today.

That's something worth celebrating – and worth protecting.

A lot has changed since January.

The 2026 bull case was built on deregulation, tax cuts, a Gen AI capex boom, and Fed rate cuts. The setup appeared reasonable.

Then the headwinds hit — the conflict in the middle east leading to surging oil prices, inflation expectations jumping, the Fed essentially frozen, and stagflation now on the table.

The opportunity may still exist. But the conversation has to be more nuanced than it was six months ago.

If you'd like to talk through what this means for your portfolio, drop a comment or send me a message — I'm happy to connect.

A job change can feel like paperwork—until you realize it's also a planning fork in the road.

When someone leaves an employer, the retirement plan decision often gets reduced to "move it" or "leave it." But the better starting point is simpler: understand what you actually have before you choose a path.

A few practical steps that can help: Review what's held in the plan, confirm any special holdings, and list the trade-offs you care about (fees, investment choices, access, and future flexibility).

The goal is to strive for a coordinated move that aligns with your financial picture.

What's the one question you wish you'd asked before moving an old retirement account?

Your equity comp has two clocks. Most people only track one.

The comp clock: vesting, exercise windows, tax withholding.

The ownership clock: concentration, liquidity, when to diversify.

The longer you hold a concentrated position, the more your plan depends on one company's path.

That's not a risk most people plan for – until they're already in it.

If you have equity compensation and would like to discuss your strategy, feel free to reach out.

The market just did something remarkable.

In just seven weeks, stocks not only recovered lost ground, but they also pushed to new highs, with the S&P 500 up more than 8% year to date.

But here's what matters more than the headline number:
The rally is being driven heavily by AI infrastructures spending, while household purchasing power has weakened and signs of consumer stress are becoming harder to ignore.

The rebound appears real, but there are risks underneath it.

This is exactly why having a plan, not just a position, is everything right now.

Today we pause to honor the men and women who gave everything.

Freedom is never free — and neither is the future we're building for our families.

This Memorial Day, we're grateful for their sacrifice and committed to serving those who served. If you or someone you love is a veteran or active military family navigating financial decisions, we're here to assist.

Thank you.
