We're about a month behind on posting this, but some videos are worth digging back out of the camera roll.

This is our Fourth of July — no fireworks (dry summer, tall pines, not worth the risk), so instead our family joined a lantern send-off on the pond at Kidder Creek camp. Quieter than fireworks. Honestly prettier too.

It was a good reminder that the best traditions aren't about the biggest bang — they're about who you're standing next to when the lights go on. Grateful for a summer like this one, glow sticks, dripping kids, and all.

Hope your Fourth (whenever you're reading this) was just as good. 🕯️

Muddy, sunburnt, and so proud. 🇺🇸

Our family spent the day at Kidder Creek's Dirty Dash 1.5K & 5K — a mud run/obstacle course out at Kidder Creek Camp that raises support for the camp itself. We laughed, we got absolutely covered in mud, and somehow I still finished 2nd in the "Super Adult" category 😂 (yes, that's a real age group, and yes, I'm claiming it proudly).

The bigger win of the day? One of our daughters took 1st place in her category. Watching her cross that finish line was the best part of the whole morning.

Grateful for days like this — family, a little friendly competition, and a good cause behind it. This is what it's all about.
