Medicare Supplement plans: G, N, or High-Deductible G. Which one is right for you?

Short version:

Plan G — costs the most each month, but pays the most. After a $283 deductible for the year, it covers nearly everything Medicare approves.

Plan N — costs less each month. You pay up to $20 at the doctor and $50 at the ER, and a few things aren't covered.

High-Deductible G — costs the least each month, but you pay the first $2,950 of your medical bills each year before it pays anything.

One thing most people don't know: when you turn 65, you get one 6-month window to get any of these plans with no health questions asked. Miss it, and you may not be able to switch later.

And fall open enrollment, which starts tomorrow, is NOT for these plans. That's for Medicare Advantage and drug plans.

We recently sat down with Josh and Melanie Randall, owners of Gate City Insurance Group, to talk about what it was really like getting started. From leaving a steady job for straight commission, to interviewing for an insurance position while Melanie was in the hospital having their first child, their story is a reminder that building something worthwhile rarely comes easy.

🎉 Congratulations to our Blackstone Griddle Raffle Winner! 🎉

A big congratulations to our lucky winner, who stopped by today to pick up his new Blackstone griddle!

The fun didn’t stop there. Dressed in an awesome Evel Knievel outfit, he was on his way to the Cars & Coffee gathering at KeyBank. We decided to stop by and show our support, and there were some fantastic vehicles and great people out enjoying the morning.

A huge thank you to Outer Limits Fun Zone for their incredibly generous donation and support of the Pocatello Senior Center!

Because of their donation and the amazing support from our community, we were able to raise over $1,000. With matching funds and additional contributions, that means more than $2,000 will be donated to benefit our local seniors.

Come down to the Oldies Car show at the Westwood Mall to support our senior activity center!
