A graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, MO, Deaton is heading to UMKC to study Music Education, with dreams of performing and building a classroom of his own.

Every team has someone who quietly makes the hard things look easy. For us, that's Victoria Hashimova. When it came time to transition our financial accounting software, Victoria stepped up, took the lead on one of the most complex pieces of the project, and kept the people around her motivated through it all. That's the Heart of NASB.

Each year, the NASB Foundation awards individual scholarships to students in our branch communities to help them pursue their college goals.

Claudia Duncan is one of this year's recipients.

Claudia is a graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, MO and will be heading to the University of Missouri - Columbia to pursue a degree in Nursing, with her sights set on becoming a Pediatric CRNA.

At NASB, we believe investing in our communities means investing in the people who will shape them. Students like Claudia are exactly who we have in mind.

NASB recently welcomed 18 students from MidCity Excellence - MCE Community Learning Center, Inc. for a Career Exposure Day at our office.

The group had the chance to present before NASB leaders, receiving hands-on coaching in public speaking, projecting their voices, asking questions, and confidently sharing their ideas. Leading the afternoon were NASB's Natalie Rowe, Sarah Baharin, and Enrique Venegas, who brought energy and encouragement while sharing their own career stories firsthand.
