Wood-Dulohery Insurance, Inc., with offices in Parsons, Kansas and Pittsburg, Kansas, was founded in Parsons in 1961 as Baumgardner-Seaton Insurance and Real Estate. The agency grew as a local property, casualty and life insurance provider focusing on the Parsons area. In the 1970's, the agency became Seaton-Wood Insurance, with real estate becoming a separate entity. Wood (Bob) joined the agency in 1982, and assumed management of the insurance operations in 1991. Mike and Janice Dulohery joined the insurance and real estate operations in the early 1990's, and the agency became Wood-Dulohery Insurance, Inc.. Mike had been with Prudential before joining the agency. Today, Wood-Dulohery employs twelve insurance agents in the two offices. Through the years, the insurance agency has purchased agencies in Erie, Kansas, in 1997; Girard, Kansas, in 2005; Pittsburg, Kansas, in 2010; Weir, Kansas, in 2011. The agency adheres to a commitment to strong customer service and values long term customer relationships.
