Setting aside educational posts and want to take a moment to share a personal note.

This coming Monday, the annual Murph workout is done across a majority of the CrossFit gyms around the world. If you watched Lone Survivor, Michael Murphy lost his life so he could get a clear signal for backup.

I cannot think of a better way to honor him and all others that lost their lives defending the United States. This has nothing to do with politics, so please do not misunderstand my post. This has to do with honoring those that served our great nation and lost their lives doing such. Again - put politics aside please.

This coming Memorial Day will mark the 12th straight year of doing the Murph Workout.

Over the last 4-6 weeks, I have posted the 3 top chargeback reasons jewelers experience today. In this video, I recap the 3 reasons;

• Item Not As Described
• Item Not Received
• Unauthorized Transaction

The key here – make some adjustments, can reduce your chargebacks. Have the details buttoned up when chargebacks come in, your rebuttal can win back which only makes financial sense. Do nothing, write them off, that does not make sense.

As I echo in the video, some cardholders like to game the system. Unfortunately, not something law enforcement tackles, yet if they came into your store and stole, that is a crime.

Continuing our series on the most common chargebacks experienced by hospitality properties, we turn our focus to #3 — Credit Not Processed.

The good news? This is one of the most preventable chargeback types. A few simple, consistent steps — communicated clearly at online or phone booking, confirmed to the guest shortly thereafter, and reinforced at both check-in and check-out — can significantly reduce how often this dispute occurs at your property.

In the attached postcard, I walk through those steps, and in the following week I will post a video that dives deeper into each one.
