Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a local school and speak with students who were working on business plans of their own.
As I shared my journey of coming to the U.S. at 12 years old and eventually starting my own business, I found myself thinking about how much I appreciated hearing stories like these when I was their age.
One message I wanted to leave them with was this: you don't have to feel completely confident to take the next step. Sometimes you move forward first, and confidence follows. I also shared two things that have guided me throughout my journey: I never quit, and I always try.
The students asked thoughtful questions, challenged ideas, and made the conversation incredibly rewarding. It was a reminder of how important it is to encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
This is one small way I try to give back. I was once sitting where they are, and I'm grateful for every person who took the time to share their experience with me.
Thank you Adriana Devers for having me. đź’š
