By Thursday afternoon, the week may not look anything like the plan you made on Monday.

A few things went right. A few went sideways. Some items are still sitting on the list waiting for tomorrow.

That does not mean the week was unsuccessful.

Progress is not always measured by everything you finished. Sometimes it is found in the problem you solved, the person you helped, or the way you kept moving when the week became complicated.

Before focusing on what is still unfinished, take a moment to recognize what you handled well.

🚨 **SATURDAY SHORT: 3 Insurance Mistakes Business Owners Should Avoid**

Your business changes. Your insurance needs to keep up.

Here are 3 mistakes that can come back to bite a business owner:

1️⃣ **Not telling the insurance company exactly what your business does.**
Saving a few dollars now isn't much of a win if missing or incorrect information creates a problem at claim time.

2️⃣ **Automatically buying the cheapest quote.**
Cheaper isn't necessarily bad—but make sure you understand *why* it's cheaper. Coverage, limits, classifications and other details matter.

3️⃣ **Assuming nothing changed at renewal.**
Payroll changes. Sales change. Operations change. Employees change. Services change. Your insurance should be reviewed along with them.

Your business probably isn't exactly the same as it was a year or two ago. Don't assume your insurance should be either.

Hailey joined Huff Insurance one year ago today — on her birthday — with no insurance experience. Since then, she has jumped in, learned the industry, earned her insurance license, and become a valuable part of our Personal Lines team.
We’re proud of how much Hailey has accomplished in just one year, and we’re excited to see what year two brings!

🚨 SATURDAY SHORT: Is Insurance Like Organized Crime?

We’ve all heard the comparison…

“Insurance is basically organized crime. You pay them for protection.” 😎

Hear me out before you start typing. 😂

Okay… there is one similarity.

You pay an insurance company for protection.

But there’s a pretty BIG difference. 😂

If you stop paying organized crime for protection, at least according to the movies, they may be the reason something bad happens.

Stop paying your insurance premium?

We’re not breaking kneecaps.
We’re not torching the house.
We’re not sending Vinny over to “have a conversation.” 😂

Your policy gets canceled—and if something bad happens afterward, there may be no coverage to pay the claim.

So yes… you pay us for protection.

Just a slightly different business model. 😎
