Thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s September PBA General Membership Meeting!

We were pleased to welcome our guest speakers, candidates for Anne Arundel County Executive Dave Crawford (R) and Allison Pickard (D). We appreciate them taking the time to meet with our members, share more about their backgrounds, and discuss their visions for the future of Anne Arundel County.

A special thank you to Farm & Flame Bar & Grill owner Surinder Sandhu and his daughter, Aekam Sandhu, for welcoming our group and hosting today’s meeting. We are so glad to have this wonderful family-operated restaurant here in Pasadena! As you begin planning holiday parties, company gatherings, and end-of-year celebrations, be sure to keep Farm & Flame in mind.

Today marks the official start of nominations for the Pasadena Business Association’s inaugural Excellence in Business Awards!

This new tradition was created to recognize the outstanding businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit partners who go above and beyond to strengthen our local economy, serve our community, and make Pasadena a great place to live and do business.

Nominations are now being accepted in the following categories:

⭐ Business of the Year
⭐ Woman-Owned Business of the Year
⭐ Family-Owned Business of the Year
⭐ Minority-Owned Business of the Year
⭐ Veteran-Owned Business of the Year
⭐ Nonprofit Partner of the Year
⭐ Business Growth Award

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new tradition as part of the Pasadena Business Association’s 40th Anniversary celebration — the PBA Excellence in Business Awards!

These awards were created to recognize the outstanding businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofit partners whose leadership, service and dedication help strengthen our local economy and make Pasadena a better place to live, work and do business.

Nominations open Tuesday, September 1 and will be accepted through September 23 on the PBA website. Community voting will begin Monday, September 28, with winners announced at our 40th Anniversary Celebration & Excellence in Business Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 23 at The Rumor Reel.

This year’s award categories include:

This past weekend, members of the Lake Shore-Severna Park Rotary and Pasadena Business Association came together to sort and prepare the school supplies generously donated during last week’s Crab Feast For Schools.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, 16 elementary schools and three middle schools in/around our community will be receiving supplies to help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

Volunteers will be delivering the supplies directly to the schools, helping make sure these donations get into the hands of students who need them most.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and helped make this effort possible. We’re proud to partner with the Lake Shore-Severna Park Rotary to support our local schools and families. 💙

Thank you to everyone who came out for tonight’s Crab Feast For Schools! 🦀📚

Nearly 400 people joined us for a fun evening of great food, community and giving back. Once the rain cleared, it turned into a beautiful night at Kurtz’s Beach.

We’re especially grateful to everyone who donated school supplies to help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.
Special thanks to the Lake Shore-Severna Park Rotary for organizing such a wonderful event and to Kurtz's Beach for hosting.
