Welcome to the Community Public Safety Academy registration page.   Registration will be limited to 20 participants over age 18, who live or work in Franklin County getting priority for spots. The CPSA will be October 5th through October 23rd.  Sessions are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Congratulations, Jail Commander McClain!

It's time to revive and highlight the improvements and changes across our teams! Last month, our Jail Commander was recognized by the National Institute for Jail Operations for her commitment to training.

She and her team have amassed nearly 500 hours of training in the Detention and Corrections Online Training Academy. Commander McClain and her team's training are vital parts of keeping Anderson County safe!

Boil Water Advisory Rescinded for Franklin Co RWD 2, Franklin County

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for Franklin Co RWD 2 public water supply system located in Franklin County. The advisory was issued because the system could not maintain the minimum required chlorine residual. Failure to maintain required chlorine residual levels may put the system at risk for bacterial contamination.

The boil water advisory previously issued for City of Princeton and Franklin Co RWD 3 is still in effect at this time.
Public water suppliers in Kansas take all measures necessary to notify customers quickly after a system failure or shutdown. Regardless of whether it’s the supplier or KDHE that announces a boil water advisory, KDHE will issue the rescind notice following testing at a certified laboratory.

Laboratory testing of drinking water samples collected from the Franklin Co RWD 2 indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
