A special thank you to the member who took the time to send a note recognizing one of our employees for helping stop an active scam. When something did not feel right, they called High Point. Our employee recognized the warning signs, encouraged the member to hang up and took additional precautions helping prevent potential fraud. Suspect fraud? Hang up and call High Point directly. A quick call can make a big difference.

🚨 SCAM ALERT: Don’t let a spoofed call fool you!

Scammers can make a call look like it’s coming from High Point FCU. They may create urgency and ask you to share information or move your money.

High Point FCU will NEVER ask you to:
❌ Download Cash App, Venmo, or another payment app
❌ Transfer money outside the Credit Union
❌ Apply for an account at another financial institution
❌ Log into online/mobile banking while on the phone
❌ Give us your passwords, credentials, or security codes

📞 If something feels suspicious: HANG UP!

Then call us directly at 800.854.6052 or 716.372.6607. Do not redial the number that called you—spoofed calls can make a fraudster’s number appear to be ours.

And remember: We won’t be upset if you hang up on us! Protecting your personal and financial information comes first.

When in doubt, trust your instincts. Hang up and call us directly.
