MECU - Serving the Greater OKC area with all your financial needs. MECU is a Credit Union dedicated to Building Better Lives for our members!

With four local branches scattered over all Oklahoma City, we serve anyone who lives, works, attends school, or worships in Oklahoma, Cleveland, Pottawatomie, Lincoln, McClain, Grady, Canadian or Logan County. MECU was established in 1934 by city employees in the basement of the old Oklahoma City Civic Center building. Today, the Oklahoma City credit union has grown to 4 branches and is now open to everyone for membership. We have over 12,000 members, and continue to grow each year. We are a not-for-profit organization that is owned by its members rather than a group of stockholders. Our board of directors is a group of volunteers that are elected by our members. It has been a great honor to serve Oklahomans for the past 79+ years, and we look forward to serving you in the future.

MECU's Skip-A-Pay program is back! Eligible members can apply to skip their December loan payment, giving them a little extra financial flexibility for the holiday season.

We had SO much fun at this year's MECU Golf Tournament! ⛳💚

A huge thank you to all of our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers for making it such a great day! We had a blast out on the course, and we're so grateful for everyone's support in helping us give back to our community.

Scammers can make emails look like they're coming from a trusted source, including your credit union. Take a closer look at this example and see if you can identify all 5 warning signs.

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from MECU, pause before you click! Give us a call at (405) 813-5550 to verify that the message is legitimate before taking any action.
