It was wonderful to see our community come together to raise awareness, honor those impacted by Alzheimer’s, and support the families and caregivers navigating this disease.

As we celebrate 50 years of the Southeastern Connecticut Women’s Network, we’re celebrating the women who continue to make The Network what it is. 💜

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Barbara Donn, one of our Directors at Large!

💜 HER NETWORK

Barbara serves on our Programs Committee, where she plays an important role in helping create meaningful programs and experiences for our members. She also supports membership growth initiatives, helping welcome new members while sharing the value, connections, and professional opportunities The Network offers.

Barbara serves as an advocate for The Network within the community, building relationships and helping increase awareness of the organization throughout the region. Her role also includes promoting upcoming events and collaborating with fellow Board members to develop new ideas that benefit our members.

Barbara says her favorite part of serving on the Board is collaborating with a group of inspiring, like-minded women who genuinely care about empowering women in our community. Contributing ideas and working together toward the continued growth and success of The Network is both energizing and fulfilling.

✨ FUN FACT

Barbara shared that both she and The Network are celebrating a milestone this year — turning 50! She loves being part of an organization that has spent five decades empowering and connecting women while she celebrates her own 50th year.

Barbara is the Director, Mortgage Strategy at Waypoint Credit Union. In her role, she helps individuals and families navigate the homebuying process with personalized guidance and mortgage solutions designed to meet their individual needs.

Barbara and the team at Waypoint Credit Union are proud to be part of the Southeastern Connecticut community and enjoy building relationships with local professionals and organizations that are making a positive impact in the region.

It was a pleasure welcoming Food Stroll participants to our Waypoint Credit Union New London branch and being part of such a fun evening celebrating local food and community.
