A new chapter begins in Plainfield.
On June 2, community leaders, business partners, board members, and team members gathered at 750 Norwich Road to celebrate the groundbreaking of CorePlus Credit Union's future Plainfield branch.
Remarks were shared by CorePlus CEO Ray Currier, Plainfield First Selectman Kevin Cunningham, Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce President Angela Adams, Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce President Bill Couture, Plainfield Business Association Represantitive Rocky Wagner, and Brian Flemming, President and Principal of Solidus, each highlighting the importance of investing in local communities and supporting future growth in Plainfield.
For nearly 20 years, Plainfield has been an important part of the CorePlus story. Since opening our branch in 2006, we've been proud to grow alongside this community, building relationships founded on trust, service, and a shared commitment to helping people thrive.
This new facility represents more than a new building. It reflects our continued investment in the communities we serve and our promise to deliver an enhanced member experience through modern technology, greater convenience, and welcoming spaces designed to meet members' evolving needs.
As the first major infrastructure investment since the merger of CorePlus and Scient Credit Union, this project is a meaningful step forward and a reflection of the strength of our combined organization.
Thank you to the Town of Plainfield, our project partners, community organizations, and members whose support has made this milestone possible. We look forward to welcoming you to our new home.
