What a great day “at the office”—even if it looked a little different than usual 😊

I had the opportunity to visit Heroes Kids Foundation in Suffolk (HKFVA.org) and experience firsthand the impactful work they are doing to create an inclusive and accessible environment for the community. Touring the property, learning about their programs, and even spending a little time with the animals made for a truly meaningful visit, (yes—goats and sheep included!), it was one of those days that just fills your cup.

The best part was seeing volunteers in action—working hard to make the space more accessible so everyone in the community can enjoy it. It’s a beautiful reminder of the impact that can be made when individuals and organizations come together with a shared purpose.

Huge thank you to Ryan, Operations Manager, taking the time to show me around and share all the amazing things happening there. I also loved connecting with some of the ladies from Volunteer Hampton Roads and the volunteer team from Trane who were out there making an impact.

Days like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just "a" business—my business is people. Being able to pour into the community and be part of something meaningful is what it’s all about.

I had the opportunity to spend a meaningful day alongside my colleague Ashley Twine, Agent with New York Life supporting Widowhood Real Talk With Dr. Tina ( ), an organization making a positive impact in the community.

In our roles as the Norfolk GO Volunteer for Good Coordinators, we were pleased to present a Walk-A-Thon check in support of their mission. We also volunteered our time assembling over 20 silent auction baskets for their upcoming fundraising gala, using brand new and exciting donated items and gift packages to help support their efforts.

Widowhood Real Talk With Dr. Tina is a Registered 501(c)(3) organization focused on providing a supportive space for individuals navigating grief. Through a weekly podcast, social content, and connections to resources and support networks, they aim to provide encouragement and community.

It was a privilege to contribute to an organization dedicated to supporting others during challenging times.

My first trip to California was nothing short of unforgettable.
From the coastal beauty of San Diego to the vibrant energy of Long Beach, the culture of Inglewood, and the iconic streets of Los Angeles—I truly got a taste of it all. What made it even more special was the opportunity to join my husband while he was traveling for work and turn it into a few beautiful days in the sun together.
This trip was the perfect blend of everything I love—great food, meaningful connections with friends, inspiring art, and a little touch of that classic 90210 flair.
Grateful for the experience, the memories, and the moments that remind me how important it is to pause, explore, and enjoy the journey.
