Thank you providing this very important information. I have had customers extremely frustrated with NJ MVC due to extreme wait times as well as finding that the NJ MVC seems to really be struggling with assisting people that are looking to register their E-Bikes. It’s seems many at NJ MVC are not up to speed 100% and causing unnecessary confusion when people are going to get their E-Bikes registered including multiple trips to NJ MVC and very long wait times. Hopefully you can pass along concerns so that perhaps this can be addressed. So many people want to do the right thing but when there is confusion it can create a lot of frustration for the general public. Thank you again Monmouth County Sheriff's Office on this very important information and post.

and the are reminding all parents, guardians, and riders to take the time to become familiar with the new laws governing e-bike use. As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity, understanding the rules of the road are critical to ensuring they are operated safely and responsibly.
These regulations are designed to improve roadway awareness and help reduce preventable incidents involving riders.

Responsibility must always remain the top priority for those riding e-bikes and for everyone sharing our roadways. Following the law not only protects riders but also helps keep our neighborhoods safe.
