This is your reminder that ALL insurance companies are in the business of making money.
I’ve been in the insurance and finance industry since 2006, and here’s the truth: if you want to stay loyal to anyone, don’t make it the company. Make it the human agent who actually gives you sound advice.
Case in point: years ago, I had a client who had been with a very well-known national company for over 50 years. She lost her wedding ring — which was scheduled on her homeowners insurance — and filed a claim. The carrier paid it, no problem. But a few months later, when her policy was up for renewal, they non-renewed her. After 50 years.
She was devastated. That’s when she called our office for help.
We all like to stick with what we know — loyalty, habit, or just laziness. And let’s be honest: insurance isn’t a “sexy” topic (yes, even for us agents). BUT it’s one of the most important things you can have to protect your most valuable assets — including yourself.
So here’s my advice: have a human like me review your coverage. Ask questions. And when you call, know you’re reaching someone who puts customers first, company second.
That’s the difference between a 1-800 number and an independent agent. Call/text me tomorrow at 845-237-2539.
