Vacation 2026

Step # 1: determine how much you have saved for your vacation.

The first question to answer: how much do you already have set aside for your vacation?

It is important to save every month of the year for your vacation. That way you do not have to pay for it all from your summer paycheck – or worse, from your credit cards.

High school grads and college students, check out this time lower your cost of college.

The FAFSA deadline is approaching, but financial aid is only one part of the college affordability equation.

Families looking to save even more should explore Modern States and CLEP, a powerful combination which can help students earn college credit for free before or during college.

This is one of the hardest financial balancing acts.
The truth: securing your future often puts you in a better position to help others later.

Questions to consider:
• Am I financially secure enough to support others sustainably?
• What example am I setting through my financial decisions?

😫 I was frustrated with a software program earlier this week.

It was supposed to make my life easier, but the process felt so complicated that I found myself wondering, "Why am I doing this?"

It reminded me of what happens when many people try to budget.

They download an app, set everything up, get overwhelmed by the process, and eventually quit.

I've been there. Maybe you have too.

Here's what I've learned: The tool isn't the most important part.

The most important part is having a simple plan that you can actually stick with.

Financial freedom doesn't come from the perfect app. It comes from consistently telling your money where to go and making progress toward your goals.

If your budgeting process feels clunky and overwhelming, simplify it.

A simple plan you use is far better than a complicated plan you abandon.

And if you're feeling frustrated with your finances and don't know where to start, let's chat. Sometimes all it takes is a simple conversation and a clear plan to help you refocus, gain control, and move forward with confidence.

Send me a message. I'd love to help.

• Prioritize catching up on your retirement savings

Reflection:
• How do you balance helping loved ones with securing your own future?
• What creates the strongest long-term impact?
