CIGNA IS MAKING BIG NEWS by pulling out of the individual market in 2027. What follows? We aren’t sure, but we will stay on top of the latest.

BIG news coming out of Cigna yesterday. They have officially announced that in 2027 they will NO LONGER offer individual or family health insurance. This means the marketplace, Obamacare, the affordable care act, etc.

So, what does that mean? If you have Cigna NOW you are ok until December 31st, 2026. As of January 1, if new coverage is not selected you will be without. In the past MANY, many people have let their plans auto renew especially those with low premiums. This will no longer be an option if you are enrolled on a Cigna health plan.

In the Memphis area this is going to be a BIG deal, as well as the Nashville area. Many of you will be in the market for a new carrier after possibly having Cigna for 10 or more years. We will get you through it, don’t panic. Just be aware that this is not a rumor, it’s true, closer to open enrollment I will setting up a calendar link to reserve a time to meet or just speak with me and I am always available via text as well.

I expect(and almost KNOW) the call centers are going to monopolize on this opportunity and hit those Cigna consumers big time. We suggest reaching out to someone before supplying those places with your information. I’m here to help as well as my colleagues and our entire office staff.
