A Friendly Escrow Reminder from Your Insurance Agent!

If your homeowners insurance is paid through your mortgage escrow account, your mortgage company is typically responsible for paying your insurance premium when it comes due.

🛑 BUT — don’t assume everything is taken care of!

When you receive your homeowners insurance renewal, take a moment to review it. If you receive a cancellation notice, late-payment notice, or anything indicating your premium has not been paid, contact your mortgage servicing/escrow department AND your insurance agent right away.

Mortgage companies and insurance carriers exchange thousands of bills and payments, and occasionally something can be delayed or overlooked. A quick phone call can help prevent an unintended lapse in coverage.

Hi, I’m Stephanie Wallace, your local NC Farm Bureau Insurance agent in Carteret County, NC. I’ve been serving this community for over 15 years, and one thing you may not know about me is I have a 16 year old chocolate labrador, named Bailey. She is the absolute best dog. Bailey gave birth to 17 puppies in March 2016 in her first and only litter. This litter broke the North Carolina state record. The world record at the time was 19 puppies, meaning Bailey's litter was close to beating the world record but did not surpass the global spot. She still thrives for a good treat and special loves..
