🌅 Watch closely at dawn and dusk, when deer are most active
👀 See one? Slow down, because deer rarely travel alone
🛣️ Don't swerve, since that can send you off the road or into oncoming traffic
💡 Use your high beams when it's safe
📱 Buckle up, phone down

✨ Thankful Thursday | When the rest of us run out of a burning building, they run in. 🚒 ✨

This week is Fire Prevention Week, and today we want to say a big THANK YOU to the firefighters here in Moberly and all across Randolph County. 🔥

A house is where the kids grow up, where Christmas happens, where a lifetime of memories lives. And when something goes wrong at 2 in the morning, our firefighters show up fast — in the cold, the heat and the middle of the night, protecting homes and families they may not even know. 💙

So to every one of you: thank you. We don't say it enough. If you see a firefighter this week or this weekend, shake their hand and tell them thanks — or better yet, drop off some snacks at the fire station! 🙌

✨ Wisdom Wednesday | A little prevention now beats an insurance claim later. ✨

The hard freeze is coming to Randolph County! Here are 5 quick things to get your house ready: ❄️
1️⃣ Unhook your garden hoses and shut off your outside spigots. (Robert had to remind himself too — just did his this last weekend!)
2️⃣ Change your furnace filter and get the furnace checked before you really need it.
3️⃣ Clean out your gutters once the leaves come down so the water drains away from your foundation. 🍂
4️⃣ Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. We don't need them beeping in the middle of the night — heating season is when they matter most.
5️⃣ Make sure everybody in the house knows where the main water shut-off is. If a pipe ever bursts, those first few minutes count. 💧
