Unfortunately storms also bring out “storm chaser” roofing companies. Before signing anything, watch for these red flags:

🚩 Door-to-door contractors the day after a storm
🚩 Cold call from outside of local area about roof
🚩 Promises to “pay your deductible”
🚩 Pressure to sign paperwork immediately
🚩 Out-of-state companies with no local presence
🚩 Large upfront payments

Always get multiple estimates and call your insurance agent if you think you have damage before signing or filing anything.
