Our Gates of Lodore trips are in Dinosaur National Monument, but you won't see any dinosaurs from the green river with its roughly 1.1 billion year old canyon walls. The fossils are in a much younger rock layer called the Morrison Formation. If you are going on a river trip with us your entrance pass grants you access to the famous exhibit hall outside of Vernal! Trust us, its worth a stop-- rebuilt in 2011 it features a 150 foot long and 2 story high outcropping with the largest concentration of Allosaurus fossils in North America. This summer, a live excavation is underway in the parking lot!
