Beginning August 14, 2026, through September 7, 2026, the Mission Police Department will increase enforcement thanks to a TXDOT Impaired Driving Mobilization (IDM) Labor Day campaign. During this period, residents may notice a greater patrol presence throughout the city as officers focus on identifying and removing intoxicated drivers from our roadways.
While the primary focus of this mobilization is impaired driving, officers will enforce all traffic violations to help keep our streets safe.
Every day, lives are lost on Texas roadways due to impaired driving. By making responsible choices and looking out for one another, we can help end this tragic trend.
Please plan ahead:
• Designate a sober driver
• Use a rideshare service or taxi
• Call a friend or family member for a ride
Let’s work together to keep Mission safe. If you drink, don’t drive.
