🚨 CYBER RISK ALERT: FBI DATA BREACH

If the FBI can be targeted, your business can be too.

For construction & Commercial Real Estate (CRE) leaders, the bigger question isn't simply “Can we be breached?”

It’s “How exposed are we through the data we share with tenants, contractors, subcontractors, and third-party vendors?”

Your business doesn't operate in a silo. Neither does your cyber risk.

A single compromised vendor, an employee credential or connected system can create significant financial, operational, and reputational exposure.

🔐 Cyber insurance is no longer optional risk management. It’s part of protecting the business.

Don't wait until a breach forces you to discover your coverage gaps.

📲 Let's review your Cyber Liability coverage, limits, and third-party exposure now—before you need it.

🍂 Fall in Wisconsin is one of my favorite times of year.

The changing colors, pumpkin farms, crisp air, and, most importantly, time with family remind me to slow down and appreciate the things that matter.

This weekend, my daughter and I picked pumpkins, chose mums; her paternal grandmother and namesake’s favorite, and laughed way too much. 🥰

Moments like these remind me why I do what I do: helping people build, protect, connect, and grow.

Fall is also a great time for a little business “housekeeping.” Are your insurance coverages, limits, and values still accurate? Sometimes, a simple review can uncover opportunities to save premium while strengthening coverage.

Because protecting a business isn’t just about the business; it’s about the families, employees, customers, and communities connected to it.

A fresh set of eyes, a good conversation, and the right people around the table can make a big difference. 🤝

🍁 Here’s to family, community, collaboration, and building something worth protecting.

🎙 THE NETWORK EFFECT | No More Waiting for a Seat: Women Building Businesses & Networks

What happens when passion meets purpose and the right people are sitting at the same table?

Meet Jessica Williams aka ~ a cigar enthusiast whose nine-year journey has become about much more than enjoying a great cigar. It’s about confidence, community, conversation, and connection.

In her recent interview with Taste the Dram, Jessica shared her perspective on women in cigar culture, breaking stereotypes, finding your own preferences, and creating genuine connections along the way.

And now, we’re taking the conversation further. 🎙️

During The Network Effect Podcast, we’ll talk with Jessica about the POWER OF NETWORKING and how the relationships we build in social spaces can become opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.

Networking isn't simply about collecting business cards.

It’s about who knows you, who has access to you, who you give access to, and who is willing to open a door for you.

💜 SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY | WOMEN ARE BUILDING WHAT COMES NEXT

The economy is changing and so is the way women must think about careers, business, relationships, and opportunities.

For years, women were encouraged to climb the corporate ladder, build professional relationships, and establish careers within traditional systems. But what happens when the ladder is pulled away?

What happens when opportunities become harder to access, positions disappear, businesses restructure, and women find themselves pushed out of career spaces they worked hard to enter?

We NETWORK.
We COLLABORATE.
We CREATE.
We BUILD OUR OWN TABLES.

This Small Business Saturday, Mindful Mondays MKE (MMM) is focusing on the owner of Exotic Blends Cigar Lounge, Lynette Patterson by taking that conversation directly into the community at her and her spouse's establishment:

'No More Waiting for a Seat: Women Building Businesses & Networks'
📅 - Thursday, September 3rd
⏰️ - 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
📌 - End of Summer Jam at Exotic Blends Cigar Lounge
8320 W Beatrice Ct
Milwaukee, WI 53223

Lady Elle will be gracing the stage, DJ Netta will be on the 1’s and 2’s, and The Network Effect Podcast host, Shantel S Bacchus will be hosting the conversations. We will be line dancing, stepping, sipping, smoking and laughing all evening long! Oh and ladies wear something pink 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

We’ll talk about entrepreneurship, business ownership, networking, collaboration, and creating opportunities in this new economy.

🫵🏽 Tag a Woman who should be in the room!

Because networking should not stop when the job ends.

📍 Check the flyer in the comments for all of the event details.

This is bigger than one event.

This is about creating a NETWORK EFFECT~where one connection leads to another, one resource leads to an opportunity, and one conversation can change someone's trajectory.

Pivoting Is Part of the Process. 🔄

We’re shifting our focus~but not our mission.

Professional development networking remains at the heart of what we do, while we also recognize that too many women have been pushed out of professional relationships, opportunities, and business networks.

As we pivot, we’ll be sharing resources, connections, and opportunities designed to help women navigate the transition, rebuild their networks, and move forward with purpose.

We’re starting with this powerful reminder from the NAACP Image Awards: sometimes, the pivot is necessary for the next level.

Stay connected. We’re building what’s next—together.
