Quick update: Our IT team is working to put a fix in that will remove the memo post items that didn’t clear at the end of business yesterday. They are testing that script right now. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved very soon.

Mary Brantley was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, but she has called McGehee home since June 2004. Since moving here, she's enjoyed becoming part of the community and loves being able to live and work alongside the people who make McGehee such a great place. She and her husband are active members of Calvary Baptist Church. Together they've built a wonderful life centered around faith, family, and community.

Family is the biggest part of Mary’s life. She and her husband have three children, Samantha, Corey and Aaron. They are also proud grandparents to eight grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do is spending time cheering on her grandson Briston Procell as he plays football for the McGehee Owls.

She appreciates the opportunity to serve the people in her hometown community every day and is thankful to be part of a team that cares about its neighbors. Building relationships and helping others are some of the things she enjoys most about her job.

Our CEO, Jim Daniels, has officially taken his rightful seat on the Red & White Throne! He came. He saw. He sat.

But alas, even kings must eventually pass the throne … so we’re sending this royal fixture off to its next destination. May they enjoy their reign while it lasts!

As we conclude our series with Executive Director and CEO Justin Powell, we're reminded that investing in our youth is an investment in our future. First NaturalState Bank is honored to support the Boys & Girls Clubs and the meaningful work they do to help young people learn, grow, and succeed. Justin, if you could leave our audience with one message about investing in the next generation, what would it be?

I would ask everyone to truly invest. If it is monetary, do not think of it as a donation, think of it as an investment. Because that is exactly what it is. It is an investment in our kids and in the future of this town, and these kids are worth every penny. If you have never stepped foot in this building, I want to personally invite you to do so. Come see it for yourself. Come talk to our club members and ask them why they never want to leave. The answer will tell you everything you need to know about the impact we are making. Operating a nonprofit in a rural Arkansas community is not easy. We have grants, but grants alone cannot sustain us. For the Boys & Girls Club of McGehee to be here for the next generation of kids in this community, it is going to take this community choosing to invest in these kids alongside us. I truly believe they are worth it.
