Greater State Bank

Since 1974, we've supported Valley's mom-and-pop stores and business owners with personalized service.

By building strong relationships, we offer the same banking services you trust, but with a more personal touch to empower our local community. The bank has grown from its beginnings in the rural dairy town of Falfurrias to become a major regional banking resource for much of South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. With locations in Falfurrias, Hebbronville, McAllen and Weslaco, Greater State Bank is truly a South Texas banking partner for families and businesses looking for a progressive, forward-thinking bank that delivers a level of customer service that is missing in so much of banking today. The bank is owned and managed by South Texas residents who understand this unique part of Texas and how business and banking are done here. With local decisions, local management and much of the technology and services associated with larger banks, Greater State Bank is proud to play a major role in the growth of South Texas.

It was a Good Day in McAllen! We enjoyed attending yesterday’s Good Day McAllen Luncheon, connecting with local business and community leaders while learning more about the exciting things happening across our region.

Yesterday, Team GSB came together for our first Business Connection Blitz in Donna! Team members from across our branches joined forces to get out into the community, introduce ourselves to our neighbors, make new connections, and share how Greater State Bank can help with their financial needs.

For us, it’s more than banking - it’s about showing up, building relationships, and being a trusted neighbor. We’re excited to keep getting out there, making meaningful connections, supporting local families and businesses, and finding new ways to make the places we call home GREATER! 💙💚

More than a bank, a community partner. 🤝 We show up where it matters, sponsoring local events, volunteering our time, and standing behind the organizations that make our community stronger. From school programs to nonprofit initiatives, our team puts in real hours because a stronger community means a stronger South Texas. That's the kind of bank we set out to be.
