We are licensed in WV, MD, PA and VA I opened my second agency in Martinsburg because I have family that live in the community. Stop by and say hi today!

I wanted to offer the same amazing customer service here, that we do at our agency in Frederick. I went to school at the University of Nebraska Kearney, and live in the community with my wife, Dr. Rebecca Herman-Smith, our son Anthony, daughters Emma and Ella, and our two dogs, Shadow and Misti.

When I’m not in the office, I love to root for my favorite sports teams, the Maryland Terrapins and the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. I also enjoy watching NASCAR and spending time outdoors with my family camping, snowboarding in the winter and traveling.

The community here is very supportive of small-business owners, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to lend a helping hand. I sponsor and coach the Smithsburg Little Sluggers baseball team and volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity.

I became an insurance agent to help people learn to protect what’s most important to them. It’s what makes being an Allstate agent so satisfying. My team of professionals are here to help with auto, home and life insurance and to help customers learn to prepare for retirement.

Everyone loves passenger pups! 🐶 If you’re traveling with your pet this summer, here are a few hacks to make sure the ride is far from ruff:

🚗 Restrain pets in the back seat where airbags are not a risk.
🌬️ Crack two opposite windows slightly to help prevent motion sickness.
🍽️ Feed lightly or skip meals before long drives to reduce nausea and accidents.
🧺 Bring an item that smells like home to help keep pets calm during travel.
🚘 Take short practice drives before long trips to reduce anxiety.
🐾 Clip a leash on before opening the car door to prevent them from bolting.

A little prep can make every mile easier for everybody. Share this with a fellow pet parent hitting the road soon!

This is what community looks like. We're proud of the Allstaters in Dallas-Fort Worth for showing up in a major way for Genesis Women's Shelter & Support. They packed hundreds of toiletry bags and hosted a food drive to help support women in need on their healing journey.

Our employees' passions become ours. This is why each Allstate employee gets PTO to volunteer their time to causes they care about.
