To anyone who knows someone on MEDICARE please do not assume because they had coverage for 2026 that it will be the same for 2027!

I've had several clients call me and state that they received a letter notifying them that they will be returned to Original Medicare on January 1st if they do not make a plan selection before then because the plan they have is being removed from the market.

If that letter is overlooked it can be financially devastating to be on Original Medicare and be responsible for 20% of their medical costs with no max out of pocket! Please call or text me if you have questions! 770-468-8014

Today I was blessed with an opportunity to visit Oak Village and spend some time talking about common Medicare scams. We had a great time playing games to test our knowledge on what we think could be a legit vs. a scam call!

If you or someone you love receives a call saying their Medicare Advantage plan is being canceled for 2027, please don’t panic or feel pressured to make an immediate decision.

There may be legitimate plan changes next year, but an unexpected phone call should never be your only source of information. Take a moment, review any official mail you receive, and speak with someone you trust before sharing personal information or changing coverage.

Scammers often create a sense of urgency because they don’t want you to slow down and ask questions. It is always okay to hang up and verify the information independently.

If you already have an agent, reach out to them. If you don’t have someone helping you or you simply want a second set of eye I’m happy to help you confirm what is happening with your coverage.
