On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Monroe County Sheriffs Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 190 mile marker on Southbound I-75. The driver was pulled over for speeding, as he was going 86 miles per hour in a 70 miles an hour zone. A search was conducted and over nine pounds of ecstasy was found along with a handgun. Deconta Daniels and Marquisia Sutton, both of Atlanta, were arrested and charged with Trafficking Ecstasy. Daniels was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Both are in the Monroe County Jail being held without bond.
