🚨 SCAM ALERT FOR POLAM MEMBERS 🚨
Scammers are increasingly pretending to be banks and credit unions — and they can even make your caller ID look like the call is really coming from your financial institution.
They may tell you there is suspicious activity on your account, an unauthorized transaction, or another urgent problem and then ask for personal information, a verification code, password, PIN, or payment.
Please remember:
• Never give out your online banking password, PIN, verification code, Social Security number, or other sensitive information to someone who unexpectedly contacts you.
• Do not trust caller ID alone — phone numbers can be spoofed.
• Never allow someone to pressure you into acting immediately.
• If a call or text claims to be from POLAM and something does not feel right, stop and contact us directly.
📞 POLAM FCU: 800-404-5137
We would always rather have you call us to verify something than risk giving information to a scammer.
Please share this with your family and friends, especially anyone who may be more vulnerable to these increasingly sophisticated scams.
Protect your information. Protect your money. When in doubt, call POLAM directly.
