🧩🥧 Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Fort Smith Welcome Center for our Puzzles & Pies event!

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendly competition, conversation and plenty of delicious pie. Events like these are a great reminder that staying connected with others is an important part of overall well-being.

We loved seeing neighbors come together, make new connections and enjoy time with friends old and new.

Did you know your dental health during pregnancy can impact your baby’s health too? 🦷🤰

Dr. Mark Jansen, Chief Medical Officer at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, recently joined KATV Good Morning Arkansas to discuss why prenatal dental health is an important part of a healthy pregnancy.

Hormonal changes during pregnancy can increase the risk of gum disease and other oral health issues, which research has linked to complications like preterm birth and low birth weight.

Taking care of your oral health is part of taking care of your whole health — and your baby’s health too.

For nearly a decade, Jennifer Hobbs devoted herself to caring for her husband, Wayne.

As his dementia progressed, the responsibilities grew heavier. The time she once had for herself disappeared. Then she found the University of Central Arkansas' I-TAP program.

What started as support for Wayne became a lifeline for Jennifer.

Through Foundation-funded programs like I-TAP, caregivers are finding community, respite and hope during some of life’s most difficult moments.

This week, we’re sharing Jennifer and Wayne’s story as part of 25 Weeks of Gratitude, a campaign celebrating the lives touched by Blue & You Foundation-funded work across Arkansas.

This May, baseball helped spark an important conversation across Arkansas.

Through Strike Out Stigma, the Blue & You Foundation partnered with the Arkansas Travelers and Northwest Arkansas Naturals to support mental health awareness and su***de prevention during Mental Health Awareness Month.

For every strikeout recorded by Travelers and Naturals pitchers during home games in May, the Foundation donated $50 to the Arkansas Chapter of the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention.

Together, the teams recorded 243 strikeouts — 123 by the Arkansas Travelers and 120 by the Northwest Arkansas Naturals — helping raise $12,150 to support su***de prevention and mental health awareness efforts in Arkansas.

Thank you to the Travelers, Naturals, players, fans and everyone who helped support this meaningful effort.
