And if we’ve learned anything serving Kauaʻi these past few decades, it’s that our second name is hard to remember. So we’re shortening our name to make it easier to say and reflect that we serve all of Kauaʻi. Rain, mud, downed lines, and long hours in the field- these are the folks working around the clock to get our island’s power back on.

The freezer that lost power becomes a neighborhood BBQ. The road blocked by a fallen tree draws neighbors with chainsaws and trucks. The fruit that came down gets gathered up and planted again. The storm took a lot, but it cannot take how we care for one another.

Mahalo to our community for showing up for each other. Mahalo to our staff who came in to serve when their own homes were hit too. Mahalo to our first responders, who are working around the clock to keep Kauaʻi safe.

It's not much, but it's what we can do right now. Our Kīlauea branch is open today, 9 AM–1 PM, come charge your devices, grab a hot dog and a cold drink, and rest a moment. Whatever you need, we're here.

Quick appreciation post. Everyone on Kaua’i is doing their part but we want to say mahalo to our team. No power. No AC. No problem.

At Kauaʻi FCU, we’ve always said: when times are tough, we show up. This week, our staff proved it, coming in to serve our members without hesitation.

A big shoutout to the many team members who showed up but aren’t pictured here, we were too busy hustling to grab more photos.

To our ʻohana across all three branches: thank you for doing what we do best, serving Kauaʻi.

Kauaʻi: If you sustained damage during Hurricane Lowell, please submit a damage report so that teams on Kauaʻi can assess priority areas to respond to.

Your reports also help document damages so that local government can request disaster relief funds for individuals and public infrastructure.

Our hearts are with Kauai. After Hurricane Lowell, we are thinking of our island, our ohana, and our neighbors as we begin to recover.

What a week it has been. Before anything else, we want to say mahalo to our staff for showing up. We always say that when times are tough, we show up, and we did. And mahalo to our community, who does what we all do best: serve Kauaʻi.

Branch updates:
Starting September 14th, our Līhuʻe and Kapaʻa branches return to regular business hours. Our Kīlauea branch hours will be posted as we go.
