Scammers are getting smarter, but that doesn’t mean we have to make their jobs easier!

A little cyber awareness goes a long way. Check out these tips to keep your money and information safe.

And remember… we will NEVER ask you to pay a fee in gift cards. Unless it’s your kids asking…. Then it’s probably Roblox. 🤣💻

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we're focused on helping protect what matters most - you! Here are a few simple cybersecurity habits you can incorporate into your daily routine to stay safer online:

🔹 Slow Down
Fraudsters want you to react before you have time to think. Be cautious of unexpected emails, text messages, or phone calls that ask for personal information, passwords, or payments. Take a moment to verify the request through a trusted source before taking action. Legitimate organizations will understand your hesitation and appreciate your efforts to protect your information.

🔹 Use Strong Passwords
Create long, unique passwords for each of your accounts. Consider using a password manager to help generate and securely store them.

🔹 Turn on Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a security key that you connect to your device, an authenticator app that displays a new code every 30 seconds, biometric face or fingerprint verification, text or emailed codes (least secure methods). MFA adds another layer of protection should a password become compromised.

🔹 Keep Devices and Apps Updated
Software updates do more than add new features. They often include important security updates that help protect your devices and accounts from cyber threats.

🔹 Protect Your Personal Information
Only share personal information with trusted and verified sources. Never share your passwords or MFA codes with anyone.

Cybersecurity can seem complicated, but small steps can make a big difference in keeping your information safe. This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, take a few minutes to review your online security habits and help make the digital world a safer place.

Have you ever left a meeting feeling like you were inspired to do MORE?

That’s exactly how I felt after spending time with the incredible team at Junior Achievement of South Central PA. 💙

As a mom of three boys, I think about their future a lot. Not just the grades they’ll get or the schools they’ll attend, but the people they’ll become — and whether they’ll have the confidence, skills, knowledge and opportunities to build the life they envision.

The impact this organization is making in our community is incredible. JA provides hands-on experiences that help students explore careers, understand financial literacy, develop employability skills and discover entrepreneurship — all while connecting classroom learning to the real world.

More than 112,000 students are reached by Junior Achievement of South Central PA last year. 🤯

And we’re just getting started!

That’s something I’m incredibly proud to be a small part of. As a mom, I can’t think of a more meaningful investment than helping prepare all of our kids for what comes next. ❤️
