📊 Chart of the Week

Hard to believe… but since 1950, the S&P 500 has NEVER hit its peak in June.

This chart shows the month in which the market made its highest point of the year.

Many investors worry markets have “already peaked” by mid-year, but history suggests market highs have typically come later in the year. 📈

That said, understanding your risk tolerance and keeping a long-term perspective are still key parts of a solid financial plan.

So you “WORK” with a financial planner…

One of the biggest complaints I hear from people is:

“Every time I call, I never actually talk to my advisor.”

Instead, they get bounced between assistants, service teams, or someone new.

Financial planning is personal. 🤝

You should know the person guiding your retirement, investments, and long-term goals.

When clients work with me, they work directly with me.
Not a revolving door of people. 👤

If you’re tired of feeling like just another account number, maybe it’s time for a different experience.

Deciding when to claim Social Security is one of the biggest retirement choices you’ll face.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but there are some factors to consider:

📌 Are you still working?
📌 How long do you expect to live based on health and family history?
📌 How do early or delayed benefits fit into your retirement picture?

This guide walks through the basics to help you start thinking about your options.

"Big Retirement Balance? The Hidden Tax Bill Your Kids Could Inherit." 🚫

I recently sat down with a couple who did everything right.

Disciplined savers. Smart investors. Decades of consistency.

They built a substantial retirement portfolio, exactly what everyone aims for.

And their goal was simple:

“Leave this to our kids.”

Sounds straightforward… until it isn’t.

Here’s the part most people don’t realize:

When children inherit retirement accounts, they can’t just let that money sit and grow.

Under current rules, those funds often must be fully withdrawn within 10 years.

Which means…

Year after year of forced taxable withdrawals
Stacked on top of their existing income
Potentially pushing them into higher tax brackets

A legacy meant to create opportunity can quietly erode through taxes.

That’s where the conversation shifted.

Instead of just “passing down assets,” we focused on how those assets would be received.

We built a strategy designed to:

• Spread out and manage the tax impact
• Reposition certain assets for greater tax efficiency
• Align their estate plan with how distributions actually work

Same wealth. Very different outcome.

This is the difference between investment planning and true wealth planning.

It’s not just about how much you leave behind, it’s about how much your family actually keeps.

If your plan includes leaving retirement assets to the next generation, it’s worth asking:

“Have I planned for their tax reality… or just mine?”
