One thing I'm learning in my COO/Integrator role is that just because I'm responsible for moving the business forward, doesn't mean I need to be responsible for doing everything. Now that's easier said than done when you're someone who likes to jump in, figure s**t out, and get things moving!

Last week was a lot about creating clarity, defining ownership, strengthening processes, and making sure the right people have what they need to succeed. Shockingly I actually took Friday off last week and headed to ATL for my wife's birthday weekend, that is progress on multiple fronts.

I'm still figuring out the balance between leading, supporting, and letting go. I guess that's the point of these diaries, right? Sharing the wins, lessons, and everything in between.

Grateful for another week in the books at Pride Lending 💜 .

I used to think being “productive” meant getting a lot of things done.

The COO seat has taught me something different:

The real win is making the business better because you were in it.

This week that meant rebuilding onboarding around the person instead of forcing everyone through the same process. It meant tightening payroll and compliance. It meant building better financial visibility and removing operational friction.

A lot of small moves.

A much stronger business on the other side.

That’s the kind of week I want more of.

Less busy. More impact.
