I have had a lot of fun with this gratitude project over these 30 days. It's been a journey through my own heart and life, a reset of sorts, to revisit my priorities and more intentionally exercising the habit of giving thanks daily.
I could not have done this without my beautiful work sister, Dena Navarro. She created all of the daily graphics.

Someone once told me that unforgiveness is like waking up every morning and ingesting poison all the while hoping the other guy dies. It is so hard to forgive and to let go of anger. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, but it does mean moving on and letting time heal the situation, so that we can be free. I am grateful for forgiveness!

I am grateful for community! My church, co-workers, neighbors, small faith group, scouts......being connected to others is so important to our overall health and happiness. Being part of something larger than ourselves; giving of our time, talent and treasure.

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. One of my favorite things to do is look back at photos of the people I love and places I have visited. My son took this photo on a family vacation to Florida. I am grateful for the profound beauty of creation!

I am grateful for modern medicine! Antibiotics, insulin, X-rays & imaging, vaccinations, prenatal care, prosthetics, transplants. A very sweet family that I know had a baby on October 6th, very premature, weighing only 1 lb 3 oz. Baby Elijah is a miracle. With the combination of steadfast prayer and medical advances, he has a long way to go, but is stable and making daily progress.
