Real estate has been a journey for us — and we’re living proof that you can use it as leverage to build not only wealth, but also a life that gives your family more options.
Have we come out on top every single time? Definitely not. 😂 But because we’ve been willing to play the long game, take some risks and make moves, real estate has given us the freedom to make decisions for our family that we may not have been able to make otherwise.
The moves, the remodels, the packing, the change… it is NEVER easy. Every time we move we swear we’re never doing it again. But apparently it’s a little like giving birth — eventually you forget how painful it was and suddenly a new house, new city and change of scenery sounds exciting again. 😂
And when we talk to our clients about different financing strategies, we’re not just talking about things we’ve read about.
We’ve personally bought homes using FHA, conventional, jumbo, non-QM, ARMs, 30-year fixed loans and more. We’ve refinanced when rates made sense, leveraged equity, remodeled homes, sold homes, moved states and taken chances.
Some worked out better than others. Most paid off.
The biggest lesson? There isn’t one “right” way to use real estate.
Sometimes your home is a place to put down roots. Sometimes it’s an investment. Sometimes it’s the tool that gives you the flexibility to make your next move.
And sometimes… it’s all three. 🏡
