A new chapter begins. 🔑

Kate Root and Erin Johnston are heading to Palm Springs with one important stop along the way: welcoming Casey Porter as President of Chesapeake Payment Systems.

Casey brings more than 25 years of experience in the payments industry and is already a familiar face to many across the CPS team. We’re excited for what lies ahead under his leadership.

As Casey steps into the role, we’re also celebrating Kate Root, who will retire at the end of the year after more than 30 years in the payments industry and years of dedicated leadership at Chesapeake Payment Systems. Her vision, expertise, and commitment to building strong partnerships have helped shape CPS into what it is today.

Now, onto the Western States Payments Conference. ☀️✈️

Congrats Tektonics Design Group on the feature and on the project. Can’t wait to see the upgrades!

We’ve been working toward this for a long time, and it’s exciting to finally be able to share more about what’s happening around the shop.

We’ve started a major renovation of our 20,000 sq ft building in Manchester, with more than $1 million being invested in the facility that houses both Tektonics Design Group and Fern & Roby.

The project includes a new geothermal system and roof, improvements throughout our manufacturing spaces, and an expanded Fern & Roby listening room and showroom. The geothermal system is an especially important part of the project for us, helping us reduce the building's energy use as we invest in making the facility more sustainable for the long term.

We’ll continue designing and manufacturing throughout construction, which is making life around the shop a little interesting at the moment.

This project is a significant investment, but we’re making it with the long term in mind. For us, that means our team, our manufacturing capabilities, and our commitment to continuing to make things here in Richmond.
