Update: The current needs are met. Please keep them and all of our facilities in your hearts going forward.
Nearly 50 residents displaced by the Spokane fires have recently arrived at Brookdale Senior Living in Richland with very few personal belongings.
Right now, they’re in immediate need of new, unopened essentials, including:
• Socks
• Underwear
• Deodorant
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Hairbrushes
• Dry shampoo
• Sweatpants
• T-shirts (all adult sizes)
The drop-off location is:
📍 Brookdale Richland
1629 George Washington Way
(The yellow building near Safeway and Planet Fitness)
Donation Hours:
🕘 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
It also sounds like many of these residents haven’t had any visitors or phone calls yet. In addition to toiletries and essentials, residents would also love cards, letters, children’s drawings, coloring books, puzzles, and other small comfort items. Many are memory care residents, and simply having mail to open or a thoughtful note can truly brighten their day. Thank you, Tri-Cities, for continuing to show up. — in Richland, WA.
