Over the last couple of weeks, our sweet Murphy (2 yo Golden Retriever) had to visit the Emergency Vet on a couple of occasions and if you have pets, you know how costly those visits can be! Lots of x-rays, medications, testing and he is on the mend, but we are SO THANKFUL that we purchased pet insurance for him!

Meet Dave (name changed for privacy reasons), Dave had life insurance through work and so decided not to purchase any life insurance through his insurance agent. His policy through work had over $1 million in coverage for his family and it was very, very inexpensive.

2 years after getting hired on, he was laid off.

30 days after getting laid off, his life insurance policy through work ended.

3 months after that he died of a heart attack while driving down the road and NOTHING was paid out to to his wife and two kids.

You can't depend only on the policy through work and this is just one example of why.
