Important Travel Update:


🇬🇧 UK ETA Mandatory as of January 8, 2025

If you will be traveling to, or through, the UK in 2025, please be aware: Key Details:

Implementation Dates:

From January 8, 2025: Nationals from non-European visa-exempt countries, including the United States, will need an ETA to enter the UK. Applications opened on November 27, 2024.
GLOBAL IMMIGRATION BLOG
From April 2, 2025: Nationals from European visa-exempt countries will require an ETA. Applications for these travelers will be accepted starting March 5, 2025.
THE TIMES
Application Process:

Fee: £10 per applicant.
Validity: Two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
Entries Allowed: Multiple visits permitted, with each stay up to six months.
How to Apply: Applications can be submitted via the official UK ETA app or through the UK government website.
Processing Time: Typically within three working days; travelers are advised to apply well in advance of their intended travel date.
Exemptions:

This system aligns with similar programs in other countries, such as the U.S. ESTA, aiming to bolster security and facilitate travel.
